Mango Pulissery recipe

Ingredients

1 Onion

2-3 Green Chillies
2-3 Red Chillies
2-3 small ripe mangoes
¼ Coconut
½ tea spoon Turmeric Powder
¼ tea spoon Methi (Uluva) Powder
¼ tea spoon Cummin (jeera) Powder
2½ thick butter milk

salt, oil, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.



Instructions

Cut the Onion into small pieces. Grind the coconut well with green chillies. Splutter mustard seeds in heated oil, add red chillies, curry leaves and onion. Stir for a while and then add the turmeric powder, methi powder, cummin powder and salt. Now add the ripe mangoes and a cup of water. Cover it and cook for some time. Then add the coconut/green chilli mix and cook for some more time. When cooked well, switch off the stove, and after a while add the butter milk to it, stir well. (Do not add butter milk when it is very hot.) Serve with rice.
